PSALM 113. SAUM 113.
To the tune of the same psalm in English. Gys tûnn y saum cheddin ayns baarle.
Ye saints and servants of the Lord Shiuish nooghyn as shirveishee’n Chiarn,
Sing of the extent of his glory Jeh mooayds e ghloayr gowjee arrane ;
Give eternal praise to his name. Da ennym noo cur ooashley bra.
From the part of the world where the sun rises Veih’n ayrn jeh’n seihll ta’n ghrian girree
To as far as the very place it sets, Dys yn eer boayll t’eh goll dy lhie,
Speak of his high name. Jeh e ennym yrd jeanjee imraa.
Throughout the world it is God who rules; Trooid-magh yn seihll she Jee ta rere;
The land of free happiness Cha vel yn cheer dy vaynrys seyr
Is but a vain shadow of his glory Ogh scaa fardalagh jeh e ghloayr.
Compared to him, whose kingdom is above, Rish’yn, e reilltys ta erskyn,
Let him, who created the heaven he dwells in, Eh chroo yn niau t’eh cummal ayn,
Not be compared to prince or power. Ny-lhig ve soyllit prince na pooar.
Although in his state he is above giving heed Ga ayns e stayd, t’erskyn cur geill
In heaven that is up there, to angels dwelling, Ayns niau ta heose, da ainleyn reill,
Still to the earth he is willing to stoop: Fooast gys yn ooir sgooidsave lesh croym:
He raises up the needy, Yn ymmyrchagh t’eh troggal seose,
From the low midden to the palace, Veih’n thorran injil dys y phlaase,
A partner for the most noble person there is. Ny heshey da'n er s’ooasle t’ayn
When, for lack of children, the kin complain, Traa, laccal cloan, ta’n kynney plaiynt,
He brings an heir, with life and health, T’eh eirey coyrt, lesh bea as slaynt,
So saving the family name; Myr shen sauail yn ennym-chynn;
Making the barren to keep house, Cur er yn ghennish dy reayll thie,
And be a comforting and good mother.— As ve ny moir gherjoil as mie.—
O praise ye then his most everlasting glory! O moyll jee eisht e ghloayr smoo beayn!
